  • 500 ml (2 cups) of macaronis
  • 2 minced onions or 1 package of 250 g (4 cups) of Les Cultures de chez nous sliced leeks
  • 1 can of 284 ml of condensed celery cream
  • 160 ml (2/3 cup) of grated parmesan
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) of panko breadcrumbs
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) of olive oil
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of honey
  • 250 ml (1 cup) of milk
  • 10 ml (2 teaspoons) of chopped fresh thyme
Preparation
Side-by-side mode
  • In a casserole filled with salted boiling water, cook pastas al dente. Drain.
  • In the same casserole, heat oil at medium heat. Cook onions or sliced leks for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add honey and caramelize for 1 to 2 minutes. Set aside in a plate.
  • In a casserole, bring to a boil celery cream with milk while stirring. Add drained macaronis, half the parmesan and, if desired, thyme. Salt and pepper.
  • Transfer preparation into cooking plates. Divide caramelized onions of sliced leeks, breadcrumbs and remaining parmesan ovr pastas.
  • Oven bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
